Zotero: Manage Your Bibliography: Home

What is Zotero?

Zotero is a free citation management system that collects all your research in a single, searchable interface. You can add PDFs, images, audio and video files, and snapshots of web pages to your citation records. Zotero allows you to save you research in customizable folders as well as automatically generate citations and bibliographies in many styles, such as MLA, APA, and Chicago. Note: Use online citation features as a guide only. Always follow the directions for citing in the appropriate citation style handbook for complete accuracy.

The Zotero Connector allows you to save article PDFs, web pages, and video files with one click of a button. You will need to install the Connector on your browser of choice.

Helpful Links for Using Zotero

You can review the Zotero Quick Start Guide for the basics on setting up and using Zotero.

Zotero comes with basic citation styles, however, there are many others that you can add, including AMA, individual journals, etc. Zotero provides documentation for installing additional styles using the Zotero Style Repository or downloaded CSL styles.

For specific questions and more documentation, you can review the Zotero Knowledge Base.
